The skis are printed in 2 pieces and glued together. Torsion springs keep the skis pointed in the right direction and can be purchased from McMaster-Carr and modified or made to the McMaster-Carr description and modified. The lower (horizontal) leg needs to be modified as shown in the photo above and upper (vertical) leg needs to be modified as you see fit for your application. The photo above shows a modification for wrapping around a nose gear rod. For the Aeroscout I add a 90 degree bend and drill a hole in the rear gear for it to penetrate. The axle hole will need to be drilled to size.
For printing I suggest two perimiter layers with 3 top layers and one bottom layer with 10-15% infill. Anchor pads may be helpful if it wants to curl off the print bed at the ends.
